Abovea font, by Vast, is an expressive brush typeface that conveys energy and enthusiasm within a contemporary handwriting style. The strokes incorporated have an intense look that catches the eye while still keeping the font harmonic and visually appealing. This free font has an informal style but at the same time, touches of elegance.
Abovea font feels artistic and is versatile for various display purposes requiring emphasis. It can be seamlessly applied to branding designs, short headlines, print posters, packaging titles, social media posts, magazine covers, band album covers, gig posters, café menus, and much more.
This font is available for free for personal use only. Consider donating an amount of your liking or getting a license for full commercial use.
Abovea has been designed by M Fairuzulhaq, with the process design derived from freehand scratches in a sans-serif style and slightly italic. The special feature of the Abovea font is its anatomical structure (terminal, stem, stroke, bar, tail, bowl, counter, axis, spur, shoulder, cross, etc.) formed by an unrepeated structure based on the original freehand scratches, making the font more expressive, natural, rhythmic, and soulful. Except for the diacritic letters like Agrave, Edieresis, Ntilde, etc., the basic letters A, E, N, etc., are used to ensure the letters look cohesive and unified.
The Abovea font is highly versatile and perfect for various typography needs, whether for digital or print applications.
Supported Languages: Basic Latin, Western European, Euro, Catalan, Baltic, Turkish, Central European, Pan African Latin, Dutch, Afrikaans, etc.
The secret to accessing a long underscore is simply typing it two, three, four, or five times, and then activating the "Discretionary ligatures" feature (only available in programs that support OpenType features, such as Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop).
