Contextual Alternates and Standard Ligatures are automatically on, and they help to keep the connections smooth and the text varied to simulate handwriting. Additionally, Ellie Script is equipped with Swash and Stylistic Alternates that can be used for a more customized look, including long end swashes for words. There are also Discretionary Ligatures, where certain letter pairs like th, lt, or, and is are made into more decorative forms. These work best in shorter texts.
