Korneuburg Display - A City-Influenced Display Typeface

Korneuburg Display was created as a semester project at New Design University, St. Pölten, Austria. The goal was to design a modular typeface inspired by a city. It is heavily influenced by the neoclassicist city of Korneuburg in Lower Austria, particularly the forms of its multiple archways.

The typeface features a distinctive and geometric aesthetic, with clean lines and precise angles. It is well-suited for a variety of applications, from branding and headings to editorial design and advertising. The modular structure allows for versatile usage, enabling designers to create unique typographic compositions.

The project focused on capturing the essence of Korneuburg's architecture and translating it into a functional and visually appealing typeface. The result is a display font that seamlessly combines modern design elements with historical influences, creating a harmonious and impactful typographic solution.
