Nirma is a versatile typeface featuring 9 weights ranging from thin to black, inspired by Founders Grotesk. The project began in April 2022 and evolved from initial sketches into a solid character that embodies dynamic sans serif qualities.
Nirma includes a total of 462 glyphs and supports 218 languages. It is compatible with Latin Basic, Latin-1 Supplement, Latin Extended A-B, Spacing Modifier Letters, and Combining Diacritical Marks.
The solid character design serves multiple functions, functioning both as a display sans and for body text, primarily inspired by Display Grotesk. The thin to regular weights are especially legible, making them ideal for body text, while the black weight excels in display settings, showcasing a dynamic shape and ample width.
