Laurel Or Hardy font by Norwegian Ink is a free shareware psychedelic-style font with a groovy urban style. The typography was inspired by Norwegian Ink’s handwriting and an essay about art. Each character has been carefully crafted into unified and harmonic letter forms with triangular and geometric shapes. Each angle in the font resembles the triangle, the pattern around which all letters were based.
The display typeface is perfect for introducing a strong and creative feel to your headlines and branding. Typography enthusiasts will also enjoy including the free font in their artistic projects. Fashion designs, posters, and logos are other ideas.
Laurel Or Hardy’s current license is shareware which may require more licensing for commercial use. Read carefully or contact the author when in doubt and consider donating if it is set as donationware.
The font consists of 2 variations - lowercase (laurel) and UPPERCASE (hardy). It was originally designed as a logo-type for our little design agency in Oslo, Norway (see photo illustration). Note that it is based on a strict pattern of vertical thick and thin lines accomplished by shifting between upper- and lowercase glyphs, e.g., "desiGN."
If requested, we will build punctuation and numerals. For now, this is merely a display font. This is shareware; hence, please share a sample screenshot of your publication if you apply this font in your work. We would love to see it (
