Radium FG is a new digitization of the Art Nouveau hot-metal font Radium, published in 1905 by the German type foundry Ludwig & Mayer.
It became popular in the 1970s when Hubertus Carl Hace Frey reworked the bold weight of Radius under the new name Charleston. It was primarily used as a display typeface on musical album covers.
Radium FG, like the original Radium, has both a regular and a bold weight. I added Latin character sets for most Western and Eastern European languages. It is available as a free font under the SIL Open Font License with the reserved name Radium. For details, see
