Volkszeitung 21 font by Lukas Krakora is a free distorted/eroded font with an authoritative presence and a rugged texture. Its style evokes nostalgia as it combines a vintage appearance with a retro influence. This is perhaps possible thanks to its industrial feel and focus on a historical theme. A basic issue of any real experimental or edgy font is persevering readability which is maintained here.
Although this font cannot be used for body text, it should be able to serve as the perfect headline font for newspapers or magazines, typographic posters, video games, movie titles, and logos.
Volkszeitung 21 is a free font for personal use only. On the bright side, getting a license for commercial use should be as easy as making a donation.
