Tektur font family by Adam Jagosz is a free font family available in 6 font styles in public domain / GPL / OFL. Offering unique geometric styles with playful touches, the font combines futuristic and tech-inspired aesthetics in the most elegant of ways. Adam Jagosz successfully produced a contemporary minimalistic font that’s characterized by its clean and structured forms. It’s modern, it’s different, and it’s free!
The font, which presents all the Latin alphabet’s punctuation, numerals, and letters (uppercase and lowercase), was specially designed for websites and apps and it works great both for texts and for headings. In addition to UI and UX projects, Tektur was designed for print use as well.
As a multi-purpose typeface, it works great for packaging design, posters, flyers, and branding among other things. Tektur is made in public domain, therefore is free to be used in any personal or commercial project.
Tektur is a constructed typeface featuring octagonal outlines and rectangular counters. This rudimentary principle is applied where rounds are typically found, but most of the diagonals are left intact which helps preserve good readability and a familiar stance. The x-height is set high, and ascenders are aligned with the cap height, allowing for compact typesetting.
The Tektur static font family comprises three widths (Tight, Narrow, Normal) in 6 weights (Regular, Medium, SemiBold, Bold, ExtraBold, Black).
The variable version has the following axes:
* Width, ranging from 75 to 100
* Weight, ranging from 400 to 900
The typeface is free for personal and commercial use and is licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1.
